Job Summary

The Center for Orthopedic and Research Excellence is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Surgery Scheduler to join our team. As a key member of our clinical support staff, you will be responsible for coordinating surgical procedures, managing patient schedules, and ensuring seamless communication with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate surgical procedures, including obtaining medical clearances, scheduling pre-op and post-op appointments, and communicating with patients regarding pre-certification, authorization, and financial counseling.
  • Manage patient schedules, ensuring accurate updates and cancellations, and communicating with stakeholders as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure accurate and timely communication of clinical instructions and patient information.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Requirements
  • 2 years of medical office scheduling experience or 1-2 years of administration experience combined with orthopedic clinic experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong customer service orientation, and a strong background in computers and data entry.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance plans.
