Job Overview

The Center for Orthopedic and Research Excellence is seeking a highly skilled Scheduling and Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our scheduling department, you will be responsible for coordinating in-office procedures, updating patient demographic information, and ensuring seamless communication with patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule in-office procedures within designated timeframes, adhering to department policies and procedures.
  • Verify patient demographic information and insurance eligibility, ensuring accurate processing of claims.
  • Provide exceptional patient communication, addressing authorization, financial counseling, and scheduling needs.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and complaints, maintaining high satisfaction levels.
  • Communicate clinical instructions for appointments and procedures.
  • Manage incoming calls and requests, triaging and relaying messages to relevant staff members.
  • Ensure canceled appointments and related ancillary appointments are updated and communicated to all stakeholders.
  • Accurately update patient information in our practice management system and EMR, documenting all work completed.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of health records, member information, and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in the healthcare field, with previous call center experience preferred.
  • Minimum one year in scheduling or insurance verification.
  • Experience in Spinal Cord, Kyphoplasty, and Imaging is highly preferred.
