Overview

Dignity Health Medical Group is a leading provider of healthcare services in Arizona, employing over 200 providers and 500 support staff across various specialties. Our medical group has experienced significant success in recent years, offering more than 73 sub-specialty services. Our physicians provide clinical services in their areas of expertise and participate in academic research and leadership roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clinical support to ensure the smooth operation of medical offices, clinics, and hospitals.
  • Assist with obtaining vital signs, documenting patient history, and providing assistance to physicians and licensed nursing personnel.
  • Alert physicians to problems, concerns, or abnormalities.
  • Perform casting, splinting, traction application, and soft good applications as an Orthopedic Technician.
  • Work with providers to coordinate ongoing orthopedic needs.
  • Assist with wound care and maintain hospital standards for specimen labeling.
  • Collect laboratory specimens according to hospital protocol.
  • Assist with examinations, treatments, and procedures as requested.
  • Retrieve necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Perform follow-up actions as directed.
  • Document clinically relevant findings in patient records according to hospital protocols.
  • Conduct front desk duties, including check-in, registration, and scheduling appointments.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or G.E.D. and completion of a Medical Assistant Program or U.S. Armed Forces medical services training program. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification is also required.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous Medical Assistant experience is highly preferred, as well as Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience and bilingual skills.

Compensation
