Overview


The Alternatives Investment Consultant will collaborate with Neuberger's Investment, National Accounts, and Intermediary Sales teams to provide education on Alternative offerings, promoting and selling Neuberger's suite of Alternative products.

This position entails conducting both individual and group presentations, facilitating conference calls, and preparing strategic materials and white papers.

The Alternatives Investment Consultant will partner closely with marketing and sales professionals to enhance their effectiveness in communicating alternative strategies and products to clients and prospects.

Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are essential, along with a comprehensive understanding of equity, derivative, and fixed income markets, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities



Acquire an in-depth knowledge of Neuberger Berman's Alternative products and strategies.

Act as the primary internal and client-facing representative for the illiquid alternatives platform.

Keep clients, prospects, consultants, and intermediaries informed about alternative products, including current offerings and new developments.

Provide support and guidance to Neuberger's National Field Force regarding the suite of Alternative Investment solutions to drive utilization and meet client needs.

Engage in frequent travel to various locations for client meetings and to foster new business opportunities.

Facilitate and promote new business initiatives alongside Neuberger's sales team.

Prepare presentations, white papers, market updates, and other essential materials.

Shape product marketing by analyzing market demand, competitor offerings, and performance reviews to ensure consistency and refinement.

Guarantee that all client communications and materials are of the highest quality and consistency.

Research and resolve client inquiries effectively.

Foster and maintain strong working relationships across all areas of Neuberger Berman to encourage goodwill and create cross-product opportunities.Qualifications



Minimum of 10 years of experience in capital markets, with at least 5 years in alternative investments.

Demonstrated analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Strong organizational capabilities and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.

Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or finance (CFA, CAIA, or MBA preferred).

Possession of Series 7, 63, 24, 65, or 66 licenses (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire).Compensation Overview

The salary range for this position is $225,000-$265,000.

This range reflects the lowest to highest salary we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.

Final compensation may vary based on factors such as education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs.

This role is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.

Compensation is not considered earned until it is vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonuses or commissions remain at the Company's discretion unless paid and may be modified in accordance with the law.
