Overview


The Alternatives Investment Specialist will collaborate with Neuberger's Investment, National Accounts, and Intermediary Sales teams to enhance understanding of Alternative offerings, advocating for and promoting Neuberger's suite of Alternative products.

This position entails conducting individual and group presentations, facilitating conference calls, and preparing strategic materials and white papers.

The Specialist will partner closely with marketing and sales teams to improve their effectiveness in conveying alternative strategies and products to clients and prospects.

Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are essential, along with a comprehensive understanding of equity, derivative, and fixed income markets, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of Neuberger Berman's Alternative products and strategies.
  • Act as the primary internal and client-facing representative for the illiquid alternatives platform.
  • Provide updates to clients, prospects, consultants, and intermediaries regarding existing and new alternative products.
  • Support and guide the National Field Force on the suite of Alternative Investment solutions to enhance utilization and education of these offerings.
  • Engage in frequent travel to various locations for client meetings and to foster new business opportunities.
  • Facilitate the development of new business opportunities alongside the sales team.
  • Prepare presentations, white papers, market updates, and other relevant materials.
  • Shape product marketing by analyzing market demand, competitor offerings, and performance reviews to ensure consistency and refinement.
  • Ensure that all client communications and materials are of the highest quality and consistency.
  • Research and resolve client inquiries effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across all areas of Neuberger Berman to foster goodwill and create cross-product opportunities.
Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in capital markets, with at least 5 years in alternative investments.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or finance (CFA, CAIA, or MBA preferred).
  • Possession of Series 7, 63, 24, 65, or 66 licenses (or to be obtained within 6 months of hire).
Compensation Overview

The salary range for this position is $225,000-$265,000.

This range reflects our good faith belief regarding the compensation for this role at the time of posting.

Final compensation may vary based on factors such as education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and other relevant metrics.

This role is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.

We provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance, and additional benefits for eligible employees.

Compensation is only considered wages once it is earned, vested, and determinable. The specifics of any bonus or commission remain at the discretion of the Company until paid and may be subject to change.
