Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to spearhead the development, implementation, and troubleshooting of control systems for water treatment equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize design documents to commission and troubleshoot control systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  2. Develop and/or redline P&IDs, electrical drawings, and control documents, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  3. Interface with clients regarding I&C designs and solutions, providing expert guidance and support.
  4. Assess client problems and determine appropriate solutions, leveraging technical expertise and analytical skills.
  5. Perform control system factory acceptance tests with clients, ensuring compliance with specifications and requirements.
  6. Collaborate cross-functionally between engineering and service teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  7. Setup and troubleshoot Ethernet-based networks for remote monitoring and support, ensuring reliable and efficient data transmission.
  8. Perform other assigned duties, contributing to the success of the team and the company.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or 5+ years' experience in designing and commissioning instrumentation and control equipment, with a strong foundation in control systems and automation.
  • Experience commissioning DCS, PLC, or SCADA Control Systems, with a proven track record of success.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%, including international trips, with a valid passport and ability to adapt to new environments.
  • Ability to work at remote construction sites and lift 30 lbs, with a focus on safety and physical well-being.
  • 3 years of automation programming experience preferred, with expertise in programming languages and control systems.
  • Familiarity with fieldbus networks and water treatment systems, with a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting customer site requirements.
