Position Title: Maintenance Technician
Company Overview: Tri-City Extrusion, Inc. is a prominent producer of Aluminum Extrusions catering to both Commercial and Industrial sectors.
Role Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and repair of production and facility machinery. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic skills and repair expertise across various disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a tidy work environment.
- Continuously monitor equipment to ensure operational reliability.
- Execute repairs, installations, adjustments, modifications, and servicing of all production machinery and plant systems.
- Demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Maintain effective communication with production staff.
- Provide assistance to fellow maintenance technicians as required.
- Identify and report opportunities for enhancing preventive maintenance and spare parts management.
- Work in an environment focused on minimizing unplanned downtime.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment as necessary.
- Document usage of spare parts accurately.
- Be available to work on off shifts and weekends with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of one year of industrial maintenance experience.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions in various formats.
Language Proficiency:
Ability to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence, as well as effectively communicate in small group settings.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and achieve a passing score on the required math assessment.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense to follow simple instructions and understand company procedures.
Additional Skills:
- Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing machinery.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Basic computer skills.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position require the ability to stand for extended periods, walk, use hands for handling tasks, and communicate effectively. Specific vision abilities are necessary for this role.
Work Environment:
This position involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, extreme temperatures, and loud noise levels. Candidates must be able to work in confined spaces as needed.
