Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of a team of skilled workers engaged in maintaining and repairing equipment, structures, utility systems, buildings, and grounds.
  • Directly supervise the maintenance department, overseeing performance management, attendance, and training functions.
  • Coordinate activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.
  • Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
  • Plan, develop, and implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
  • Review new product plans and discuss equipment needs and modification with design engineers.
  • Confer with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve safety issues and maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent education and experience.
  • Five years of experience in extrusion or similar process is required.
  • Three to five years of supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrates excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective management skills.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in a written and verbal manner.
