Position: Store Environment Team Member

As a vital part of our team, you will help uphold the overall aesthetic and cleanliness of the store, ensuring that we meet our Brand Promises. Your role will involve providing exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers in navigating the store, and helping them find the items they need.

  • Responsible for collecting and disposing of waste in accordance with established protocols.
  • Perform dusting and damp mopping of floors following approved methods.
  • Relocate equipment and merchandise for thorough cleaning and ensure items are returned to their designated locations.
  • Utilize assigned materials and equipment to clean designated areas, which may include mixing cleaning solutions as per specifications.
  • Conduct deep cleaning of key store areas such as restrooms, break rooms, entrances, and other high-traffic zones to maintain a safe and clean environment for both customers and staff.
  • Keep cleaning tools organized and notify the supervisor of supply needs in advance.
  • Proactively identify areas needing attention and take initiative to address them.
  • Complete all tasks as directed by the supervisor.
  • Adhere to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations while performing duties.
  • Foster positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers, even in challenging situations, in alignment with the organization's vision and values.
  • Exemplify a positive demeanor and serve as a role model for fellow team members.
Additional Responsibilities May Include:
  • Providing a swift and friendly checkout experience while adhering to cash handling standards.
  • Engaging customers regarding the benefits of our Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, facilitating enrollments.
  • Assisting with omni-channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
  • Participating in the unloading of trucks, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
  • Supporting shrink and safety initiatives.
  • Complying with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies to ensure adherence to applicable laws and requirements.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience in retail and/or cleaning is preferred.
Physical Requirements:

Work Environment:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to navigate throughout the store.
  • Regularly bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves using ladders or similar equipment.
  • If assistance is needed to perform essential job functions, please reach out to your supervisor to discuss potential accommodations.
  • Work in a public retail environment serving customers; all public areas are climate-controlled, though some stock rooms may not be; outdoor tasks may include retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks.
  • Utilization of standard commercial cleaning products and chemicals.
