In this role, you will provide electrical engineering expertise to enhance production equipment and systems, including automated assembly and processing lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the ability to devise and execute innovative solutions to complex problems. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of implemented countermeasures.
- Proficiently create and troubleshoot intricate vision system programs, ensuring adherence to standards and functionality.
- Coordinate and lead scheduling and planning meetings, representing the Mechanical Engineering team as needed.
- Develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets and project spending, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
- Formulate concepts and implementation strategies for large-scale, complex equipment and process projects, effectively prioritizing resources.
- Act as the Engineering lead for investigative efforts, assisting team members in enhancing their analytical skills.
- Address complex issues and enhance equipment and processes, serving as a technical resource to elevate team knowledge and capabilities.
- Review colleagues' designs for accuracy and compliance with engineering standards, mentoring junior team members in technical documentation.
- Establish divisional and interdivisional policies and procedures.
Demonstrate comprehensive technical knowledge and the ability to research, interpret, and apply industry standards (such as NEC and NFPA) to ensure safety and compliance.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, along with 5-8 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing context.
- Proficient knowledge of PLC and HMI programming (Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi preferred), panel layout design, AutoCAD, and relevant industry standards.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Visual Basic and C++ is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Flexibility to work overtime and adapt to varying shifts based on organizational needs.
