About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Huntington Ingalls Industries. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design and development of electrical systems for our nuclear aircraft carriers and submarines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate shipchecking spaces to identify and resolve electrical issues
  • Coordinate with waterfront trades to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems
  • Lead integration efforts with Norfolk Naval Shipyard and other AIT/CCTs
  • Develop and maintain electrical designs and layouts for complex assemblies and devices
  • Check and verify electrical drawings and specifications for accuracy and completeness
  • Identify and recommend design improvements and revisions
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5 years of related experience in electrical design and development
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution and lighting
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
