About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Huntington Ingalls Industries. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design and development of electrical systems for our nuclear aircraft carriers and submarines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and technical reports.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to project teams, including troubleshooting and resolving electrical system issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in electrical systems, and apply this knowledge to improve our designs and processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on design and development.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in design software, including CAD and simulation tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Nimitz-class electrical systems, including general power and lighting distribution.
  • Experience with design and development of electrical systems for nuclear aircraft carriers and submarines.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements, including ASME and IEEE.
