Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Audit Specialist to join our team at the Department of Social Services. As an HR Audit Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of payroll transactions.

About the Job

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for auditing and compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in California State Civil Service/Human Resources in the Payroll/Transactions arena and be proficient in SCO Systems, MS Windows, WORD, and Excel.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform audits of payroll transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  2. Review and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  3. Develop and implement procedures to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth implementation of new policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business, accounting, human resources).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in auditing or compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
