Job Summary

The Patient Services Representative enhances the patient experience by providing courteous and professional support at the front desk of an outpatient practice. This role involves verifying insurance, referrals, and patient demographic information, while maintaining an efficient flow of patients to examination rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interact with colleagues, visitors, and other staff in a professional manner, consistent with the values of Jefferson Health.
  • Process check-in and check-out activities, as well as scheduling of patient appointments via electronic health records.
  • Greet and interact with patients and visitors in a professional manner, both in person and over the phone.
  • Maintain an efficient flow of the practice and escalate patient and provider concerns as necessary.
  • Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Customer service and/or patient-facing healthcare experience preferred.
