Position Title: Mechanical Estimation Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of project scope through the analysis of documentation, followed by estimating, planning, procuring, coordinating, and overseeing all pre-construction activities related to mechanical materials and equipment for large-scale international projects.
  • Take full accountability for the successful execution of all pre-construction tasks, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Estimator/Coordinator and Project Technical Coordinator.
  • Work in tandem with project installation teams to facilitate material installations and provide necessary technical support and guidance.

Work Environment: This is a full-time position based in an office setting, involving activities such as walking, standing, sitting, typing, writing, and reading. Some travel may be required, and work in uncontrolled environments during travel may be necessary. Light lifting (up to 50 lbs) may also be part of the role.

Expectations:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Candidates must be eligible to obtain a Department of State Secret Security Clearance. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with excellent organizational and time management abilities. Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics, technical specifications, and related contract documents is required. Effective management of cost budgets and adherence to schedules is crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is necessary, and the ability to communicate and collaborate with a diverse, multinational workforce is expected.

Education and Experience: A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required, along with five to ten years of experience in mechanical construction installation. A four-year degree in a related field, combined with five to ten years of construction-related experience, is preferred. Candidates must either possess a current clearance or have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense minimum secret security clearance.

Compensation: While the salary range typically falls between $69,900 and $104,900 annually, applicants are encouraged to share their compensation expectations during the application process.
