Role Overview: As a Mechanical Test Engineer, you will engage in scientific assessments of challenges associated with design, material processes, and operational efficiency. Your contributions will be pivotal in the design and development of prototypes, testing methodologies, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the formulation of designs for secondary elements, minor functional systems, or component parts of structures or devices.
  • Utilize your knowledge of physical, chemical, and mathematical principles to address minor design-related challenges and innovate new designs.
  • Set up, modify, and adjust test samples and configurations for testing, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications or established testing protocols.
  • Lead and coordinate testing plan activities with laboratory personnel while managing equipment resources in collaboration with lab management.
  • Accurately gather, interpret, process, and present test data and results, performing necessary calculations to meet the requirements of applicable testing standards.
  • Investigate and resolve product design-related issues, documenting findings and recommending corrective or improvement actions.
  • Develop specialized testing procedures and comprehensive written documentation.
  • Compose technical reports detailing test conditions, methodologies, outcomes, and conclusions.
  • Support Design Engineers in creating components for minor functional systems.
  • Operate, maintain, and repair testing equipment, instrumentation, and systems in accordance with engineering specifications or defined testing practices.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in operating computer systems for data acquisition, recording test results, reporting project status, and managing test documentation.
  • Interpret 2D production drawings effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical discipline (Engineering) with 0 - 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety regulations, operational guidelines, and maintenance instructions.
  • Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in spreadsheet and word processing software (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word).
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts, including probability and statistical inference.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting information clearly to groups and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning abilities, adept at solving practical problems and navigating various concrete variables.
