Overview:

As a Mechanical Estimation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in understanding project scopes through the analysis of documentation. Your responsibilities will encompass estimating, planning, purchasing, coordinating, and managing all pre-construction activities related to mechanical materials and equipment for large-scale international projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of project requirements from the review of relevant documents.
  • Estimate costs and manage procurement processes to ensure timely delivery of mechanical materials.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Estimator/Coordinator and Project Technical Coordinator to align project objectives.
  • Work closely with installation teams to facilitate material installations and provide necessary technical support.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position in an office environment, involving activities such as walking, standing, sitting, and using a keyboard. Some travel may be required, and you may need to work in environments that are not fully controlled. Light lifting (up to 50 lbs) may also be necessary.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Candidates must be eligible to obtain a Department of State Secret Security Clearance. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with excellent organizational and time management abilities. Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents is required. Experience in managing budgets and adhering to schedules is crucial. Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite is necessary, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse, multinational team is important.

Education and Experience: A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required, along with five to ten years of experience in mechanical construction installation. A four-year degree in a related field and additional construction experience is preferred. Candidates must either hold a current clearance or be able to obtain a Department of Defense minimum secret security clearance.

Compensation: The salary range for this position typically falls between $69,900 and $104,900 annually.
