We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at JW Marriott Marquis Miami. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, leading staff, and ensuring high-quality food production that exceeds our guests' expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management: Supervise and motivate a team of culinary professionals to achieve exceptional results in food quality, presentation, and service.
- Menu Development and Execution: Collaborate with our culinary team to design and implement menus that showcase our hotel's culinary expertise and meet the diverse tastes of our guests.
- Food Safety and Quality Control: Ensure that all food handling and sanitation standards are met, and that our kitchen operations are in compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Staff Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and coaching to our culinary staff to enhance their skills and knowledge, and to support their career growth and development.
- Inventory Management and Cost Control: Oversee the management of food and beverage inventory, and develop strategies to minimize waste and optimize costs.
- Guest Feedback and Satisfaction: Interact with guests to gather feedback and suggestions, and work with our team to implement improvements that enhance the overall dining experience.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef, or a 2-year degree in a related field with 4 years of experience.
- Skills and Knowledge: Proven expertise in food production, presentation, and service; strong leadership and team management skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
