Position Overview

Since its founding, BI Incorporated has been instrumental in providing supervision for individuals involved in immigration proceedings. Our Intensive Supervision Appearance Program (ISAP) plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance and support for participants. By integrating comprehensive case management with effective supervision technology, we achieve positive outcomes and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations to address participants' essential needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; preferred fields include Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, or Criminal Justice.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in customer service or case management; experience in law, social work, or working with diverse populations is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to conduct home visits.
  • Must pass a federal background check.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Must have resided in the U.S. for three of the last five years.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interpret and convey rules and instructions effectively.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and ability to manage stressful situations.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of immigration laws and procedures.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills.

Working Conditions

  • Typical office environment with some local travel required.
  • Use of standard office equipment such as computers and telephones.
  • Physical activities may include standing, walking, and performing data entry.

Key Responsibilities

As an Immigration Case Coordinator, you will manage cases for ISAP participants from entry to release, ensuring adherence to program policies established by the Department of Homeland Security.

  • Develop and implement individualized service plans for participants, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate case records and manage cases proactively while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Conduct intake interviews and orientation sessions within required timeframes.
  • Install and monitor electronic monitoring equipment as necessary.
  • Assist participants in obtaining necessary travel documents and connect them with community resources.
  • Facilitate translation services and evaluate participants' English proficiency.
  • Supervise participants during office visits and coordinate their schedules for various appointments.
  • Conduct home visits to verify residency and ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Perform emergency counseling as needed and maintain relationships with community resources.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.
