Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Automation Engineer Intern to join our team in Richfield, Ohio. As a Process Automation Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project engineering and field service, working on real-life initiatives and projects that will boost your resume.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of engineers to deliver projects and provide support for our process automation customers on Foxboro and Modicon systems.
- Under the mentorship and direction of senior engineers, participate in a high-performance team solving problems for our customers and delivering solutions.
- Learn and apply process control and PLC control systems, including troubleshooting, upgrading, setting up/configuring equipment and software, and building applications for our customers.
- Interpret design inputs such as Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, IO lists, and control narratives.
- Collaborate with a senior engineer to build and configure Human Machine Interface screens for operator control/effectiveness based on design inputs.
- Participate in testing systems for customers and resolving discrepancies.
- Potential travel to project sites to assist with commissioning and gain experience.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a degree program studying Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Control Engineering, or a related field.
- Completed 2 years of college toward a degree by Summer 2025.
- Ability to work on-site 40 hours a week out of our Cleveland, Ohio area location from June - August 2025.
- Familiarity with computer software and systems.
