CPP Euclid is seeking a highly skilled Automation Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Facilities group, you will be responsible for providing engineering support, troubleshooting PLC control issues, and advancing program development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Automation and Controls
    • Develop and enhance manufacturing processes through automated equipment applications.
    • Devise ways to automate the updating of computer equipment, PLCs, and HMI programs.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with Maintenance personnel to identify the root causes of control-related failures.
    • Assist the Maintenance department in developing a basic understanding of higher-level controls troubleshooting.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Demonstrate proficiency in computer programming and software development.
    • Troubleshoot equipment issues and conduct complex system tests.
    • Utilize creative thinking and pay attention to detail.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BSEE preferred)
    • Over 5 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment. Preference for Investment Casting Experience.
  • Technical Skills
    • Expertise in PLC and HMI programming.
    • Experience in configuring and designing HMI/OIT systems.
    • Familiarity with Motion Control and Vision systems. Robot experience is a bonus.
Working Environment
  • Shop Floor, Office
  • Extended periods of sitting or standing, occasional lifting of metal castings up to 50 lbs., and prolonged computer use.
  • Occasional travel to other Turbine Technologies sites may be required.
