Position: Senior Engineering Technician

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced electronics technician to contribute to our dynamic team focused on high voltage power components and power supply development. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with component-level testing of high voltage diode devices utilizing both standard and specialized testing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Engineering Team with a primary focus on semiconductor diode testing and troubleshooting.
  • Characterize and model devices, prototype circuits, and design custom test equipment for specific customer requirements.
  • Accurately summarize and communicate test results to technical staff.
  • Identify root causes and implement corrective actions for any failed units.
  • Propose improvements and assess new product performance across various conditions.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of AC/DC circuits with prior experience in DC, switching, and pulsed semiconductor circuits.
  • Familiarity with voltage multipliers and pulsed power applications is advantageous.
  • Proficient in using laboratory test equipment such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and pulse generators.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis.
  • A proactive team player with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with Product Managers and Engineers.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Experience with high voltage applications exceeding 2000 volts, as well as component-level testing and modeling expertise. Knowledge of chemistry related to the manufacturing of discrete electrical components is also beneficial.
