Overview

In this role, you will serve as a key leader among electronic technicians, offering guidance, training, and technical support in the installation, upkeep, and repair of electronic systems, particularly in audio and video (A/V) technology.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Overseeing the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of various electronic systems, including communication systems, security alarms, public address systems, automated clock systems, and surveillance equipment.
  • Diagnosing and resolving system issues while ensuring that all work adheres to safety standards and technical specifications.
  • Interpreting schematics, circuit diagrams, and technical manuals to facilitate the understanding of complex systems for team members.
  • Maintaining the operational integrity of electronic systems by calibrating and repairing automated controls.
  • Utilizing a computerized maintenance management system to effectively manage work orders and track equipment status.
  • Providing training and mentorship to technicians on preventative and corrective maintenance practices.
  • Prioritizing tasks and supervising technicians to ensure timely and budget-conscious completion of projects.
  • Managing inventory of supplies and equipment to ensure readiness for maintenance tasks.
Additional Duties

Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of strategic goals. Attend relevant meetings as required.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience in electronic maintenance.
  • Experience working with youth in challenging environments, demonstrating a high level of emotional resilience.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical requirements include the ability to lift over 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions. Flexibility in work hours, including on-call duties, may be necessary.
