Overview

As a Senior Electronic Technician, you will provide leadership to a team of electronic technicians and other staff, offering training, technical guidance, and support in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems, including audio and video (A/V) equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor electronic technicians in their daily tasks.
  • Install, maintain, test, and repair various electronic systems, including telephone systems, fire/security systems, public address systems, automated clock systems, and surveillance cameras.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring optimal performance of electronic equipment.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to deliver tailored A/V solutions.
  • Interpret and analyze schematics, circuit diagrams, and technical manuals for team members.
  • Ensure the operational integrity of electronic systems through calibration and maintenance of automated controls.
  • Utilize a computerized maintenance management system to oversee work orders and track equipment.
  • Train and assist technicians in both preventative and corrective maintenance practices.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage workflow to ensure timely completion of projects within budget.
  • Order and maintain adequate supplies and equipment for operations.

Additional Duties

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of strategic goals. Attend relevant meetings as required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working with juveniles in a challenging environment is preferred.
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check and security clearance.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record is mandatory.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift weights exceeding 50 lbs. with assistance.
  • Capability to work in various environmental conditions.
  • Must be able to work on a rotating on-call schedule, including after-hours and weekends as needed.
