We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics Technician to join our team at Dean Technology, Inc. as a High Voltage Power Components Specialist.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support to our New Jersey Engineering Team, focusing on semiconductor diode testing, component level troubleshooting, device characterization and modeling, circuit prototyping, and designing custom test equipment.
- Summarize and concisely communicate test results to technical personnel, identifying root causes and corrective actions for failed units.
- Characterize new product performance at varying temperatures, operational loads, and applications, making improvement suggestions and designing test fixtures as needed.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to achieve project goals.
- AC/DC circuit understanding and prior experience with DC, switching, and pulsed semiconductor circuits.
- Experience with voltage multipliers and pulsed power applications is desired.
- Good working knowledge of lab test equipment, such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and pulse generators.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office suite products, including Excel for statistical data recording.
- A team player with a motivated self-starter attitude, able to work independently and communicate effectively with Product Managers and Engineers.
- Experience with high voltage - greater than 2000 volts.
- Component level test and modeling experience.
- Chemistry experience as it relates to how discrete electrical components are manufactured.
