Clinical Services Technician

Job Summary
The Clinical Services Technician is responsible for collecting pathology specimens at free-standing Ambulatory Care Centers. This role involves registration processing and allocation of laboratory specimens and orders from all sources.
Key Responsibilities
Verification of proper patient/specimen identification and appropriateness of specimen and accompanying orders. Organizing laboratory workflow and prioritizing processing and preparation of specimens for transport. Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment and proper PAR levels of supplies. Utilizing equipment, instruments, and computer systems to test, request, accession, label, and package specimens to ensure specimen integrity for delivery via courier to the appropriate laboratory facility.
Requirements
1 year of clinical experience as a Phlebotomist or equivalent education requirement. High School Diploma or Equivalent Required. Graduate Phlebotomy or Certificate from an Accredited Institution Preferred. Phlebotomy Certification Preferred. Varies M-F 7:30 - 5:30. No Weekends. No Call Requirements.
