Job Summary

The Clinical Services Technician plays a vital role in our laboratory team, responsible for collecting and processing specimens from all age groups with minimal patient impact. This role involves verifying patient/specimen identification, ensuring the appropriateness of specimens and orders, and organizing laboratory workflow to prioritize processing and distribution of specimens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collects specimens from all age populations as assigned with minimal patient impact.
  • Verifies patient/specimen identification and ensures the appropriateness of specimens and orders.
  • Organizes laboratory workflow and prioritizes processing and distribution of specimens.
  • Utilizes equipment, instruments, and computer systems to test, request, accession, label, and deliver specimens to appropriate laboratory sections within acceptable time frames.
  • Performs specified procedures within scope of established testing methods and responsibilities.
  • Maintains age-specific and other required competencies as needed.
Requirements
  • 1 Year Clinical - Phlebotomist Required - And 1 Year Healthcare - Acute Care Preferred
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required - And Graduate Phlebotomy Preferred
  • American Society for Clinical Pathology Or Phlebotomy Preferred
Work Schedule

Monday-Thursday 8-4:30

Weekend and Call Requirements
