Position Overview

AECOM is in search of a Mid-to Senior Level BIM Coordinator for our dynamic Aviation Technology Department. This role involves collaboration with a team of architects, engineers, GIS specialists, and programmers dedicated to serving major airport clients globally. As a BIM Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to assist project teams in the effective utilization of BIM and GIS technologies, along with Digital Twin applications tailored for large-scale airport projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for various Digital Delivery technologies.
  • Participate as a team member throughout all phases of design, construction, and operational projects.
  • Stay updated on design software and industry advancements in integrated practices.
  • Engage in research on emerging technologies.
  • Assist in complex modeling setups, data management, and optimization for comprehensive digital workflows.
  • Facilitate coordination between external vendors and internal teams.
  • Contribute to the development, testing, and implementation of digital delivery tools and services.
  • Oversee project-level Common Data Environment (CDE) management, ensuring compliance with project standards and BIM Execution Plans.
  • Evaluate BIM capabilities of the supply chain during proposal and bidding processes.
  • Promote standardization of BIM processes and tools within delivery teams.
  • Review and verify BIM Execution Plans from appointed parties, ensuring data quality and completeness.
  • Establish institutionalized CDE workflows for design management and change control.
  • Support Model Review and Clash Management sessions with Digital Delivery and AEC supply chain.
  • Conduct project-specific training and skill enhancement as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience and interest in BIM and 3D Modeling.
  • Familiarity with various BIM software, including Revit, Dynamo, Civil3D, Navisworks, and BIM360/ACC Design Suite.
  • Relevant work or internship experience in the field.
  • Proficient in building information modeling programs and techniques.
  • Strong skills in MS Office Suite and Power BI.
  • Experience with Python scripting and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Revit API & Dynamo, as well as Grasshopper for Rhino.
  • Understanding of the Digital Twin industry and/or Aviation sector.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
