You will be responsible for the oversight and management of BIM models, facilitating interdisciplinary cooperation, and utilizing BIM data to enhance project outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in architecture, engineering, or construction management, along with significant experience in BIM integration and project oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- BIM Strategy Development: Formulate and implement BIM strategies for construction projects, establishing BIM standards, protocols, and workflows. Collaborate with project teams to create BIM execution plans that align with project objectives and client expectations.
- BIM Model Oversight: Supervise the development and management of BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, including architectural, structural, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), and other discipline-specific models. Address interdisciplinary clashes and conflicts, ensuring the production of clash-free construction documents.
- Collaborative Planning: Engage closely with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to promote collaborative planning and decision-making utilizing BIM technology. Encourage interdisciplinary communication and coordination to optimize project workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Quality Assurance: Implement BIM quality assurance measures to guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of BIM data and models. Establish best practices for model validation, review, and adherence to industry standards and project specifications.
- BIM Software Management: Oversee BIM software platforms and tools, including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM applications. Provide technical support and training to project team members to improve their proficiency in BIM software and workflows.
- Data Integration: Create strategies for integrating BIM data with other project management systems, such as scheduling, cost estimation, and facilities management software. Ensure smooth data exchange and interoperability between BIM and other project data sources.
- Client Collaboration: Work with clients to comprehend their BIM needs and objectives, effectively communicating the advantages of BIM technology in achieving project goals. Provide regular updates and progress reports on BIM integration and project status to clients and stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with BIM integration and project delivery, developing proactive strategies to address them. Facilitate the resolution of BIM-related issues and conflicts to minimize impacts on project timelines and budgets.
- Continuous Development: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in BIM and digital construction. Lead initiatives aimed at driving continuous improvement in BIM processes, workflows, and deliverables to enhance project results and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in BIM integration and project management, preferably within the construction sector.
- Proficiency in BIM software platforms such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
- Strong understanding of BIM standards and protocols, including COBie, IFC, and LOD (Level of Development).
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet project deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Certification in BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of construction project management principles and practices.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on overcoming challenges.
