Job Overview

This position is for a VDC Manager and we welcome applicants from various locations. This role necessitates in-office presence two days a week. Candidates must possess valid US work authorization.

Role Responsibilities:

As a VDC Manager, you will leverage your project management and technical expertise across diverse projects, contributing to leading-edge thought leadership in BIM and VDC. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that projects integrate BIM methodologies from initial concept through design, construction, and into operational maintenance.


Key Duties:

  • Oversee project management for VDC/BIM initiatives across various projects.
  • Act as the primary liaison for clients, fostering relationships and presenting project work. Participate actively in client meetings.
  • Coordinate and manage engaging digital model creation projects with international teams.
  • Identify and implement efficiency enhancements, supporting VIATechnik's commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of professional growth and knowledge sharing by leading and participating in training initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience with a general contractor in either field or office roles.
  • Interest or experience in BIM and VDC implementation, training, and support.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret construction documents, including contracts, drawings, and specifications.
  • Experience in generating Requests For Information (RFIs) and facilitating resolutions with project stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with primary building systems and their assembly sequences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid model from one of our offices.
  • Availability for travel up to 25%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in BIM coordination for complex projects or a background in VDC with a General Contractor.
  • Experience leading online meetings and training sessions for remote teams using platforms like Asana or Clickup.
  • Proficiency in managing BIM updates, conducting clash detection, and communicating results to stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing BIM and VDC throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to handle complex commercial and industrial design projects using software such as Revit, Navisworks, and Civil3D.
  • A history of effectively collaborating with remote teams.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A proactive approach and readiness to adopt an 'all hands on deck' mentality.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The salary for this role starts at $100,000 plus eligibility for bonuses. Actual offers may vary based on a range of factors, including skills and experience.
