Role Overview: The Category and Brand Management team serves as the primary liaison for our partners, collaborating closely with various CDW stakeholders, including Sales, Finance, and Marketing.

The Senior Brand Strategist will spearhead the development of marketing strategies for our partners at CDW, utilizing investments and programs to effectively communicate customer outcomes and enhance market share.

This position requires a deep understanding of product lines and business management. As the channel leader, you will provide strategic guidance to partners, identifying opportunities and crafting strategies to boost product sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain open communication channels with strategic partners to ensure alignment across CDW and partner stakeholders.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for partner product lines and related programs, including Bid Desk programs, VIR, COOP, and Category Penetration.
  • Analyze complex industry data to uncover opportunities and devise strategies to drive sales growth.
  • Develop and articulate competitive positioning and differentiation for brands.
  • Create comprehensive marketing plans in collaboration with Partner Development and Product Managers, detailing target customer segments, products, promotions, pricing, positioning, and launch strategies.
  • Educate pre-sales and Product Specialists on new product introductions, competitive advantages, and sales opportunities within their customer base.
  • Understand and communicate the partner's organizational structure to key decision-makers while fostering strong executive relationships.
  • Manage and optimize overall profitability, developing strategies for reinvesting funding.
  • Collaborate with CDW Procurement to forecast sales volumes effectively.
  • Represent and advocate for the assigned brand in meetings, discussing brand performance, category performance, program results, and ongoing initiatives.
  • Lead Product Specialists in the creation and review of content for manufacturer advertisements.
  • Provide detailed reporting and analysis on brand performance, industry trends, and market share.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to assess partner performance and lead joint initiatives.
  • Facilitate necessary partner and industry certifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of sales/marketing experience, or
  • 8 years of experience in sales/marketing, or
  • 4 years of CDW PPM experience combined with 4 years of sales/marketing experience.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all stakeholders.
