Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Support Specialist to join our team at the State of California. As a Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by performing a variety of administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and review contract documents, including scanning and entering data into our Contracts/Leases Database.
  • Key claim information into the Claim Audits Tracking System (CATS) to receive claims and release claims from the system.
  • Stamp and code each claim, sort claims for distribution to audit units, and deliver and pickup claims and other documents.
  • Process cash transfer letters for submission to the State Accounting and Reporting Division (SARD) and review claim correction/return letters for mathematical, grammar, and spelling errors prior to mailing.
  • Maintain daily and monthly statistical information and provide support services for all Bureau staff, including answering telephone inquiries pertaining to claims.
Requirements
  • Ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications.
  • Valid typing certificate confirming ability to meet the minimum typing speed.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a strong commitment to quality customer service.
  • Exceptional attendance and proven reliability.
  • Ability to use tact and respectable judgment.
