Position Overview

Educational Support Specialist - Part-Time

Role Summary: The Educational Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting educators by providing individualized or small group tutoring and offering direct care, supervision, and support to students within a classroom environment. This position involves the preparation and maintenance of educational materials, attendance logs, health documentation, and student records. The specialist will deliver instructional support that enhances learning for individuals or small groups of students.


Work Schedule: Part-Time, 2 hours per day, 5 days a week
Compensation: $24.21 per hour, with a structured salary scale based on experience.


Benefits: Eligible employees may receive Medical, Dental, Vision, and Employee Life Insurance, with full contributions for those working 6 or more hours daily.


Qualifications: Candidates must possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent, along with experience working with students in educational settings. Successful completion of a competency assessment is required.


Licensure and Certifications: A valid driver's license may be necessary. Candidates may also need to hold a valid First Aid/CPR certification.


Required Documentation: Applicants must submit the following documents:
· Proof of NCLB Compliance (48 college units or successful completion of the Paraeducator Proficiency Exam)
· Evidence of High School Graduation (Diploma or Transcripts)
· Updated Resume demonstrating relevant experience.
