Position Overview:The Program Coordinator, Welcome Corps Engagement is responsible for the mobilization and oversight of private sponsor groups (PSGs) within the Welcome Corps at Work (WCW) initiative. Acting as the Private Sponsor Organization (PSO) for PSGs in WCW, the Program Coordinator will spearhead community outreach and PSG recruitment, provide ongoing training and supervision, and monitor the progress and welfare of clients participating in the Welcome Corps at Work program. The Program Coordinator will remain informed about the requirements and updates of the Welcome Corps at Work program, as well as developments from the PSO network and the broader Welcome Corps initiative. This role will involve regular engagement with external partners such as the Community Sponsorship Hub and other PSOs, and internally will collaborate closely with the Program Officer for Community Sponsorship Training and the Program Officer for Community Engagement for Vulnerable Populations to mobilize partners and create resources to address PSG and client needs. This position reports to the Senior Program Officer for Community Sponsorship within the Resettlement, Asylum, and Integration (RAI) Department.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the identification and recruitment of private sponsor groups (PSGs) for WCW to achieve program objectives, including community mapping, conducting informational sessions, participating in webinars, and meeting with potential partners as necessary.
  • Support the IRC's role as a Private Sponsor Organization (PSO) by attending regular PSO meetings, staying updated with all Welcome Corps program developments, and implementing the IRC's framework for supporting Private Sponsor Groups (PSGs) in Welcome Corps at Work.
  • Design and deliver supplemental training and resources on essential resettlement topics, such as housing and cultural orientation, tailored to the specific needs of PSGs involved in WCW.
  • Ensure the completion of private sponsorship required services through 30 and 90-day reports from PSGs. Provide consultation, guidance, and recommended resources in response to inquiries and technical assistance requests from private sponsor groups.
  • Contribute to the development and submission of grants management documents, including continuation proposals and quarterly project reports.
  • Collaborate with the IRC's Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning team to identify trends related to PSGs and clients in WCW and advise the Senior Program Officer on areas of concern.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant professional experience in the human services sector is required; a minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in immigrant, refugee resettlement, and social work fields, along with experience in establishing, nurturing, and maintaining partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in outreach and mobilization for community sponsorship or private sponsorship initiatives is highly preferred.

Work Environment:

  • This role may be performed remotely from anywhere within the U.S., with potential hybrid/in-person options depending on location and candidate preference. If remote, applicants must have a home or alternate workspace conducive to completing their work during regular hours.
  • Occasional domestic (non-local) travel may be required; up to 15%.
  • May necessitate occasional weekend and/or evening work.

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to U.S.-based candidates. Ranges are determined by various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated based on work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.

U.S. Benefits: The IRC offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package. All U.S. employees are eligible for sick leave, a 403b retirement savings plan with up to a 4.5% immediately vested matching contribution, plus an additional IRC contribution of 3-7%, and an Employee Assistance Program available to our staff and their families during times of crisis and mental health challenges.

Additionally, full-time employees are eligible for 10 U.S. paid holidays, 20-25 paid time off days, disability and life insurance, medical, dental, and vision insurance (employee contributions starting at $135, $7, and $5 per month respectively), and FSA for healthcare, childcare, and commuter expenses. Part-time employees are eligible for a proportionate amount of paid time off. These additional benefits apply to employees who work at least 6 months within a 12-month period.
