Job Summary:

The Administrative Specialist is a multifaceted role that provides general administrative support to the Outpatient Clinic(s). This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including scheduling clients, making reminder calls, and verifying client eligibility for services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily administrative operations of the clinic, including opening and closing procedures, scheduling clients, and making reminder calls.
  • Verify client eligibility for services and ensure accurate data entry in client electronic health records (EHR).
  • Provide administrative support to clinical staff, including creating spreadsheets and databases, and responding to commonly-asked questions.
  • Participate in assigned staff meetings and committees, and perform other related duties as required.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1 year consecutive office experience.
  • Intermediate level computer capabilities in use of databases, web-based environments, word processing, email, and spreadsheets.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Fluent in the Spanish language, including the ability to read, write, and speak.
  • Knowledge of non-profit organizations and electronic health records.
Working Conditions:

This position requires working up to 40 hours a week, during regular clinic hours (Monday through Friday, 8am-8pm). May be required to work irregular hours outside of normal clinic business hours, including weekends. Travel to different agency locations may be required.
