National Sales Manager Job Description

Marmon Construction Fastener Group is seeking a highly skilled National Sales Manager to drive sales growth and lead a sales team in the Western part of the U.S.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a sales team in consistently growing existing business while implementing sales strategies to quickly grow market share in new markets with new customers.
  • Utilize sales software to identify trends and develop strategies to drive sales growth.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead team in effectively moving qualified target customers through the sales funnel.
  • Develop strategic growth strategies for multiple markets and customers.
  • Lead team in using product knowledge to provide a consultative selling experience for customers.
  • Utilize value-added selling to position products favorably.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Manage and grow current key accounts within an assigned geography.
  • Identify and close new key accounts within an assigned geography.
  • Effectively negotiate on behalf of Marmon Construction with current and potential customers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 5+ years in leading a high-performance sales team.
  • Demonstrated success in rapidly growing market share, both personally and via a sales team.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience selling through a distribution channel.
  • Building Materials or Construction: minimum of 10 years preferred
  • High degree of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to succeed.
  • Ability to understand and coach a team in selling on value.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • 50%+ overnight travel required.
