Cybersecurity Lead Job Description

**Job Summary:**

Command Post Technologies, Inc. (CPT) is seeking a highly experienced Cybersecurity Lead to lead and manage critical cybersecurity efforts. In this crucial role, you will oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive information security program aligned with DoD policies and industry best practices.

**Responsibilities:**

* Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive Information Systems Security program (ISMS) for the organization, ensuring compliance with DoD security policies and industry regulations (e.g., NIST, DISA).
* Conduct security risk assessments to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities across IT systems.
* Establish and enforce information assurance and security requirements, considering user needs, security policies, regulations, and resource constraints.
* Evaluate the organization's security posture against industry security standards and recommend major changes to enhance overall security and resilience.
* Function as a technical expert across multiple cybersecurity domains, including disaster recovery, database security, and secure software development practices.
* Lead high-impact technology assignments related to information security.
* Supervise and manage a team of security personnel, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing coaching and development opportunities.
* Ensure security milestones and goals are achieved on time and within budget.
* Manage security personnel to maintain the functionality and security of all IT applications.
* Implement procedures and methods for auditing and addressing non-compliance with information security standards.
* Protect against unauthorized access, data modification, or destruction of IT systems and data.
* Stay informed of evolving DoD security policies and their application within the organization.

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Minimum 4-7 years of experience in information security with a focus on DoD environments.
* 1-3 years of supervisory experience managing a security team.
* Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/TSCI) security clearance.
* Possess and maintain DoD required industry certifications for the position (e.g., CISSP, Security+, CEH).
* Proven track record of leading and implementing successful security programs.
* Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, risk management frameworks, and security controls.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
* Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
