Position Overview:
As the Lead Cybersecurity Systems Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the operational security integrity of our information systems. Your expertise will be essential in overseeing continuous monitoring of networks to identify and rectify security vulnerabilities and compliance issues.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide support to the organization’s information assurance initiatives, ensuring that security policies and standards are effectively implemented.
2. Assist in the development and enforcement of information systems security protocols and methodologies.
3. Generate and present regular and specialized reports as necessary.
4. Maintain the security posture of information systems, ensuring adherence to established security policies and procedures.
5. Manage daily security operations and evaluate security solutions to meet requirements for classified information processing.
6. Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments to facilitate certification and accreditation processes.
7. Oversee configuration management for security software, hardware, and firmware.
8. Assess the impact of changes to systems on security and prepare relevant documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs) and Risk Assessment Reports.
9. Support security authorization efforts in line with compliance frameworks.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
- Alternatively, an Associate's degree or military training in a computer-related field with 10 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma with 12 years of relevant experience may be acceptable.
- A degree in fields such as Information Assurance, Cyber Security, or related disciplines is preferred.
- Must meet Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Tier 1 requirements within 6 months of assignment.
- Proven experience with NIST principles and Risk Management Framework (RMF) procedures.
- Demonstrated background as an ISSO, focusing on Defense-in-Depth strategies and enterprise security architecture.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Security Clearance:
Applicants must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
