About SPILL

We are seeking our inaugural product strategist to help craft experiences for the upcoming iteration of SPILL. In this pivotal role, you will significantly contribute to Spill's expansion by establishing a robust product culture through the development of a systematic approach to discovery, communication with both internal and external stakeholders, product execution, and data-driven analysis.

Your responsibilities will include...

  • Defining the product vision, strategy, metrics, and objectives for your designated product areas.
  • Creating and delivering engaging product roadmaps informed by customer insights and strategic opportunities, ensuring all internal stakeholders and customers are kept informed.
  • Articulating the rationale behind our priorities. You will identify the problems to address and the reasons for prioritizing them, using this understanding to collaborate with Engineering and Design on the 'what' of product development.
  • Partnering with leadership to cultivate and implement effective product management practices.
  • Encouraging a culture of feedback, inclusivity, and product excellence.

You may be an ideal candidate if...

  • You possess over 5 years of experience in engineering, product management, program management, or a related field, demonstrating an ability to unite teams to create intricate systems with straightforward, thoughtful solutions.
  • You have a passion for learning and a keen interest in understanding technical challenges, particularly those related to distributed systems.
  • You recognize that decision-making requires empathy and consideration of diverse perspectives, utilizing data to build consensus on outcomes.
  • You are adept at communicating information, whether large or small, to various audiences.
  • You are customer-focused. At SPILL, customer focus means building meaningful relationships and being a resource for customers to address their challenges.
  • Ideally, you have experience in delivering products within social media, advertising, e-commerce, and trust and safety domains.
