Position Overview

We are in search of a proactive and results-driven individual to join our team as a Multi-Specialty Portfolio Specialist. The ideal candidate will be tasked with strategically driving product performance in primary care and women's health sectors within a designated region. A focus on achieving results, enhancing territory efficiency, and executing the sales strategy with a positive and growth-oriented mindset is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Performance: Meet and exceed sales targets for the assigned territory.
  • Territory Management: Structure and optimize territory/accounts to maximize sales impact. Analyze market data to develop and implement effective business strategies targeting specific customer segments.
  • Customer Engagement: Conduct outreach to healthcare professionals to provide accurate product information and ensure product availability. Utilize interpersonal skills to understand customer needs and tailor sales approaches accordingly.
  • Adaptability: Maintain resilience in the face of challenges and embrace change.
  • Manage expenses within the allocated budget. Complete necessary administrative tasks, including timely reporting and budget oversight.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction and drive profitable growth.
  • Engage in continuous learning by completing required training and staying updated on product knowledge and market dynamics.
Core Competencies
  • In-depth understanding of customer needs in primary care and specialty areas.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the local market and experience across various specialties is advantageous.
  • Proven track record of strong sales performance, with experience in product launches preferred.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions on the clinical and economic advantages of promoted products, collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing, and Leadership.
  • Documentation of sales performance over the past two years and annual reviews is required.
  • Strong business acumen to excel in a multi-product sales environment.
  • Capability to analyze complex data to create strategic business plans that yield sales results.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient understanding of the payer landscape, including commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare.
  • Strong presentation and organizational skills, with proficiency in PC applications.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Business or Life Sciences. An MBA or pursuit of one is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience is required, demonstrating mastery of product and disease state knowledge.
  • Willingness to travel within the territory, including potential overnight travel.
  • Occasional national travel for corporate events and training may be required.
  • Flexibility to attend meetings outside of standard working hours.
