About Us:

Din Tai Fung is a renowned Chinese dining establishment specializing in Xiao Long Bao, or steamed soup dumplings, meticulously crafted by hand with our signature "Golden Ratio" of 18 folds. Established in Taiwan in 1958 as a cooking oil retail business, Din Tai Fung transitioned into a dumpling and noodle restaurant in 1972. Since then, it has gained international acclaim for its quality, consistency, and exceptional service, boasting over 170 locations globally, including several in the United States.

About the Role:As a Cleaner, you will be tasked with maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, and organizing various areas within the restaurant. This includes employee and guest restrooms, kitchen spaces, dining areas, and storage facilities. Regular laundry duties for towels will also be part of your responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities & Tasks:
  • Comprehends and adheres to all safety guidelines regarding cleaning chemicals used in the restaurant
  • Utilizes personal protective equipment to ensure safety and minimize exposure to chemicals
  • Applies the appropriate cleaning agents designated for each specific task
  • Maintains cleanliness, restocks, and organizes all restaurant areas
  • Labels all items according to Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung standards
  • Participates in monthly staff and janitorial meetings
Supporting Functions:
  • Ensures all kitchen areas are clean and sanitized
  • Organizes items within coolers and freezers
  • Lifts and moves boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds)
  • Assists with routine deep cleaning of the kitchen
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding proprietary information, including recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
