Job Summary

The Culinary Specialist coordinates food production activities with food service personnel to ensure the preparation of high-quality meals and adherence to food service regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, as the Culinary Specialist will perform supervisory duties in the absence of senior staff members. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively with patients, physicians, and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate food production activities with food service personnel to ensure efficient and safe food preparation.
  • Supervise food preparation and presentation to ensure high-quality meals are served to patients and employees.
  • Develop and implement food service policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with senior staff members to develop and implement menus and meal plans that meet the dietary needs of patients and employees.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of food service activities and incidents.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as culinary arts or hospitality management.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards, as well as regulatory requirements.
