Patient Services Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at Temple Health. As a Patient Services Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our department, providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors, and supporting the efficient delivery of healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Register patients, collect demographic and insurance information, and verify patient identities
- Schedule appointments, procedures, and tests, and coordinate with healthcare providers and staff
- Process preauthorization requests, collect copays and account balance payments, and manage patient accounts
- Scan documents into electronic medical records (EMR) and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to patient inquiries, resolving issues, and escalating concerns as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; certification and licensure may be preferred
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other software applications
