Purpose Statement of Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center:

To motivate individuals to uncover their God-given talents and realize their potential through artistic, educational, physical, and spiritual experiences in a Christ-centered environment.

Job Overview: This position is responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality while managing the daily operations and processes at the Welcome Desk. Key responsibilities include member and guest check-in, fostering member loyalty through positive relationship-building, and promoting activity sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding hospitality to both members and guests.
  • Engage professionally and cheerfully with the public, business community, Salvation Army Officers, and Kroc Center staff.
  • Promote programming through exceptional customer service by making insightful recommendations and connecting individuals to relevant programs.
  • Actively participate in team sales initiatives to achieve membership targets and enhance activity participation.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of Kroc Center memberships, sales, programs, and services, and communicate this effectively with excellent customer service skills.
  • Support member retention through outreach to new and previous members, emphasizing relationship-building during the onboarding process.
  • Conduct informative tours for the public as required, ensuring adherence to center policies and effectively communicating them.
  • Ensure all communications, requests, and responsibilities are addressed in a professional, timely, and confidential manner.
  • Report customer inquiries or concerns to the appropriate departmental supervisor as needed, following up to ensure resolution.
  • Assist security and management during emergency situations and complete necessary incident report forms as directed.
  • Handle revenues in accordance with established policies and procedures, including collecting membership fees, selling day passes, gift cards, and issuing guest passes. Operate relevant computer systems and software related to memberships and programs.
  • Cross-train on scholarship policies and procedures, providing support as necessary.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Welcome Desk and designated common areas, ensuring they are stocked with appropriate brochures and forms. Light maintenance duties are expected.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in customer service is essential.
