People and Culture Specialist

$27.00 USD Gross per hour
Reporting Structure:
This role reports directly to the Director of Talent & Culture. The key responsibilities and essential functions of this position encompass the following:
- Exhibit a high degree of professionalism and integrity while ensuring the confidentiality of departmental matters.
- Support various administrative tasks as required.
- Oversee the maintenance of all office supplies and materials.
- Manage the distribution of documents, forms, and correspondence throughout the organization.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal and State documentation requirements are current and accurate.
- Maintain an organized departmental filing system and conduct quarterly audits of files.
- Assist with monthly compliance audits: including I-9 documentation, Food Handler certifications, Spa Licenses, DMV records, and other necessary reporting.
- Provide assistance to colleagues and leadership regarding basic Talent and Culture inquiries.
- Support the organization of company events and monthly Talent and Culture colleague gatherings.
- Administer the Human Resources System (Dayforce) effectively.
- Maintain and update the monthly internal communication bulletin boards with relevant information.
- Utilize various methods to promote the department's information and standards, including updates to bulletin boards, daily briefings, and training materials as necessary.
- Facilitate timely reporting of workers' compensation claims to the appropriate carrier.
- Contribute to safety training initiatives within the organization.
- Assist in coordinating benefit eligibility communications and hosting informational seminars.
- Ensure that departmental and benefits billing is processed accurately each month.
- Manage the HRB System, including data input, output, and report generation.
- Support the recruitment process by coordinating scheduling, screening, advertising, and onboarding of new hires.
- Assist in maintaining the Applicant Tracking System (INES).
- Facilitate the pre-employment process, including reference checks and background verifications.
- Handle and maintain confidential information appropriately for payroll purposes, including new hire details, wage adjustments, and terminations.
- Foster a positive workplace culture that encourages open communication, trust, mutual respect, and enjoyment.
- Support staff events organized by direct line committees, including employee communications, bulletin boards, employee recognition programs, and community engagement activities.
- Assist with recruitment and training initiatives as needed.
