Job Overview

The Chief Global Officer of People and Culture at Sendbird plays a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing our global People and Culture strategy, driving organizational excellence. This position involves overseeing People Operations, Talent Acquisition, and HR Business Partners, with teams located in various regions.

This role is dedicated to continuously evolving a top-tier People and Culture framework. Responsibilities include guiding the organizational culture, managing talent acquisition and performance, overseeing compensation and benefits, facilitating training and development, and ensuring compliance in HR operations.

The individual will collaborate closely with Sendbird's executive leadership team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment, contributing to the company's growth through operational enhancements. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role is crucial for strategic alignment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to cultivate the organization's culture amidst growth challenges.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive global People strategy that aligns with business goals.
  • Evaluate and enhance the existing People Operations and Development frameworks, fostering innovation and improvement.
  • Work alongside the Head of Talent Acquisition to achieve hiring success and provide insights during executive discussions.
  • Partner with department leaders to develop leadership capabilities and optimize team effectiveness.
  • Promote a high-performance culture through goal alignment, impactful feedback, and development programs.
  • Enhance training initiatives to boost the productivity of new hires and equip managers with effective leadership tools.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of competitive global compensation and benefits structures.
  • Facilitate clear organizational communication across global teams, ensuring alignment with core values and objectives.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team of HR professionals.
  • Establish governance to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards across various regions.
Candidate Profile
  • Extensive knowledge of contemporary People practices and experience in scaling culture within a global organization.
  • Analytical and solution-oriented, with a focus on achieving business objectives.
  • Strong judgment and credibility as a trusted advisor on culture and talent matters.
  • Hands-on approach to implementing programs and solving challenges proactively.
  • Innovative and adaptable in crafting solutions tailored to Sendbird's needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in relevant fields.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various HR disciplines, including benefits, employee relations, and talent management.
  • Proficient in HR policies and regulations.
  • Experience with diverse HR systems and tools.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Transparency

We establish compensation ranges based on function, level, and location, utilizing industry benchmarks. The estimated salary range for this role is $250,000 - $290,000, subject to various factors influencing final compensation decisions.

Flexible Work Policy

Sendbird offers a flexible work schedule while emphasizing collaboration. Employees within commuting distance are expected to work in the office a minimum of three days per week.
