About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Technical Program Manager to join our team at Seismic, a leading provider of sales enablement solutions. As a key member of our Engineering Operations team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality software releases on time, within budget, and on target.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Deliver and support multiple projects and programs, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards.
  • Technical Leadership: Use your technical expertise to drive complex projects forward, leveraging your knowledge of cloud infrastructure and networking technologies.
  • Communication: Facilitate program meetings, release planning, demos, retrospectives, and agile ceremonies, ensuring effective communication across teams and stakeholders.
  • Release Planning: Create and manage execution plans and risk plans at scrum and portfolio levels, driving alignment through the development and release process.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate with management, developers, product managers, product owners, and support specialists on product issues, improving inter-team communications and driving process improvements.
  • Release Delivery: Be responsible for the success of key software releases at Seismic, leading a delivery team of Product Managers, Engineering, Design, QA, and other functional teams to deliver throughout all release phases.
  • Release Planning and Execution: Build and run the release master plan (schedule, dependencies, risks, etc.), using your technical background and product knowledge to identify risks, issues, and drive their resolution.
  • Process Improvement: Champion standard methodologies, metrics, and high-quality standards with your delivery team, maintaining consistently high standards of communication, productivity, and teamwork.
  • Collaboration: Work with engineering teams to identify and remove cross-product roadblocks, making constant assessments of feature pipeline, work done, and work quality to support decision-making on release delivery schedules.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience or advanced degree and 12 years of experience running software engineering programs, with practical experience in Agile methodologies and Scrum Master certification a plus.
  • Technical Background: Strong software engineering technical background with a real passion for delivering high-performance, quality software, knowledge of cloud infrastructure and networking technologies a plus.
  • Project Management: Experience in software development and project/program management processes and best practices, including planning, scoping, costs, schedules, initiatives, change, and risk management.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with the ability to influence across teams and stakeholders without formal authority.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Tools and Technologies: Experience working with various project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
