About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Technical Program Manager to join our team at Seismic, a leading provider of sales enablement solutions. As a key member of our Engineering Operations team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality software releases on time, within budget, and on target.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Deliver and support multiple projects and programs, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards.
  • Technical Leadership: Use your technical expertise to drive complex projects forward, leveraging Agile methodologies and best practices.
  • Communication: Facilitate program meetings, release planning, demos, retrospectives, and agile ceremonies, ensuring effective communication across teams.
  • Release Planning: Create and manage execution plans, risk plans, and schedules, working closely with Engineering and DevOps teams.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate with management, developers, product managers, product owners, and support specialists on product issues and improve inter-team communications.
  • Release Success: Be responsible for the success of key software releases at Seismic, delivering high-quality results to customers on plan.
  • Process Improvement: Drive the planning and execution of releases from concept to GA, leading a delivery team to deliver throughout all release phases.
  • Release Master Plan: Build and run the release master plan, identifying risks, issues, and driving their resolution.
  • Process Champion: Be the authority on software delivery life cycle processes, championing standard methodologies, metrics, and high-quality standards.
  • Reporting: Independently and accurately report on the state of your release to executive partners and be the trusted speaker on the state of release in key checkpoint reviews.
  • Team Collaboration: Maintain consistently high standards of communication, productivity, and teamwork, working with engineering teams to identify and remove cross-product roadblocks.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience or advanced degree and 12 years of experience running software engineering programs.
  • Technical Background: Strong software engineering technical background with a real passion for delivering high-performance, quality software.
  • Agile Methodologies: Practical experience in Agile methodologies; Scrum Master certification a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
  • Product Management: Strong understanding of both product and program management techniques (Agile, SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, OKRs).
  • Project Management Tools: Experience working with various project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
