Position Title: Commercial Insurance Sales Consultant

Hours: 40 hours per week

Overview:


The Commercial Insurance Sales Consultant is an external sales expert tasked with driving new business in commercial insurance and promoting additional offerings from the organization.

This role focuses on building and nurturing a robust client portfolio while adhering to sales and service benchmarks, prioritizing the delivery of high-quality insurance solutions tailored to client needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular and proactive assessments of client requirements.
  • Exhibit strong technical sales abilities and comprehensive product knowledge across various services to deliver compelling presentations of insurance options.
  • Engage in consultative selling, making tailored recommendations based on client needs rather than product availability.
  • Utilize and maintain prospect and pipeline data within the agency's CRM system.
  • Generate and sustain a database of qualified leads through referrals, telemarketing, in-person outreach to business owners, direct mail, email, and networking initiatives.
  • Keep meticulous records of all sales and prospecting activities, including calls, presentations, closed deals, and follow-up actions.
  • Gather detailed client information for underwriting, pricing, and presentation purposes, ensuring a smooth transition of new accounts to the client service team.
  • Comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Participate actively in scheduled sales meetings, seminars, and networking events.
  • Foster effective collaborative relationships with all support departments and affiliated companies to maximize cross-marketing opportunities.
  • Engage in ongoing education, self-improvement, and professional credentialing.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of, and ensure compliance with, all relevant laws and regulations applicable to this role, meeting all job-specific training requirements promptly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
