Position Overview
The Vehicle Rental Sales Consultant serves as the primary sales representative for the rental of vehicles to our existing lease and commercial rental clients, as well as prospective commercial rental customers and individual household needs.
This role requires collaboration across various departments including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Asset Management, while employing exceptional customer communication skills. This dynamic program provides exposure to all facets of the business unit, enabling you to gain valuable industry knowledge and skills essential for building relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Marketing:
- Manage inbound sales inquiries and conduct outbound prospecting.
- Implement the marketing strategy for the business unit.
- Maintain accurate records in the marketing database.
- Identify and maximize rental and sales opportunities.
- Foster and grow relationships with our customer base.
Operations & Asset Management:
- Oversee the profitability and operations of the rental location.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales, and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
Customer Relations:
- Drive revenue growth by nurturing customer relationships.
- Address and resolve customer concerns to maintain satisfaction.
Communication Skills:
- Build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Clearly communicate Ryder's offerings and services.
Additional Duties:
- May be required to perform On-Call Representative duties based on scheduling needs.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of one year of sales experience.
Compensation:
The compensation for this position may vary based on experience, education, and market factors. The hourly pay range is between $18.00 and $20.00, with potential eligibility for bonuses and incentives.
